Celebrity prank calls are a type of prank call that uses prerecorded sound clips from a particular celebrity, played back to an unsuspecting victim over the phone. The clips tend to be uploaded onto computers and are arranged on a soundboard. The prankster then calls the victim and plays back the particular clips with the intent of fooling the victim into believing that he or she is speaking to a real person. The trend originated with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Pranksters would take clips from Arnold's movies and call different places such as restaurants and hotels under the guise of "Detective John Kimble" or "Douglas Quaid". Commonly used lines are "I'm a cop you idiot", "You son of a bitch!" and arguably the most popular "Who is you daddy, and what does he do?" to which annoyed victims respond with varying degrees of sincerity. The trend has led to a whole array of other celebrities voice's being used such as Dr.Phil, Miss Cleo, Jack Nicholoson, and many others.
